Surgeries performed by otolaryngologists include the removal of tonsils and adenoids, sinus surgery, the placement of ear tubes, the removal of tumors, reconstruction of congenital defects, cochlear implants and laryngotracheal reconstructions, among many others.
Otolaryngologists are capable of providing treatment and management for all types of disorders of the ears, nose, throat and surrounding structures. These may include sinusitis, hearing loss, tinnitus, cranial nerve disorders, balance disorders, polyps, nasal obstruction, voice and swallowing disorders, various types of infections and both cancerous and non-cancerous tumors, among many other conditions and diseases.
